As you learn to sing you will get to know your own body, as it is your instrument.

You will start to be able to tune in to the information that it can give you about where you are holding tension, how different areas operate together and how dynamic balance can be achieved. 

You will learn to feel muscles that may be very small or very deep within the body.

Many people who learn to sing find that, through this process of increasing physical awareness, they also become more aware of the thought processes and emotions that have been the cause of the physical tensions that they have carried in their lives. This new awareness provides a wonderful opportunity for change and many singers find themselves changing other aspects of their lives.
